Women’s Forum Sierra Leone Ends AGM

Women’s Forum Sierra Leone, the Umbrella body for all Women’s organizations in Sierra Leone has commenced a two day Annual General Meeting at the Port Loko District Council Hall.

Over Eighty Five member organizations from all regions are represented to witness the two day event.

The Outgoing President, Maude Peacock welcomed delegates and disclosed that the AGM marks an historic event in the operations of the forum, adding that it’s creates an opportunity for those who have served for the past four years, to give account of their stewardship, strengthen advocacy for the empowerment of Women and Girls in the country, recognize new member organizations and enhance solidarity among member organizations.

The Chairperson, Mrs. Rosa Lewally highlighted the significant role played by the forum in advocating for the full recognition of Women’s rights and urge member organizations to encourage and create a space for more young Women.
