The confraternities of Archdiocesan priests have break silence on the negative outbursts in the social media concerning Bishop Tamba Charles following the reunion of the first gentleman in the country.
According to the release, they are aware of the numerous allegations on social media about the Catholic Church and ‘our chief shepherd, Archbishop Edward Tamba Charles.
“We the priests of the Archdiocese of Freetown hereby condemns those social media messages as malicious, baseless, diabolical and a deliberate effort to misinform the Catholic Lay faithful and the general public on matters on which they lack knowledge.” The release further explains that; “We the priests of the Archdiocese of Freetown categorically state that we are in solidarity with our beloved Chief Shepherd Archbishop Edward Tamba Charles who is a man of undisputable reputable character; who possesses the moral rectitude to be the Archbishop and Chief Shepherd of the Archdiocese of Freetown.
In light of the above, we the priests of the Archdiocese resolve to educate our lay faithful on doctrinal and moral matters, especially on the sacrament of marriage.
It could be recalled that the social and mainstream media
