“I want to represent my country Sierra Leone and also help to qualify Sierra Leone to the world cup” says Musa Noah Kamara (Tombo) upon his return from Sweden, but he is currently running away from the national team to play amateur football.
It all started with East End Lions football club, after he won the Sierra Leone Premier League golden boot with fifteen (15) goals. Making him the first player to scores the 15+ goals in a single Sierra Leone premier league season.
Weeks ago, Musa Tombo officially signed a three and half year with Swedish side Trellesborg, weeks ago, Musa Tombo started feeling cold in Sweden, few days later, Musa Tombo asked Trellesborg FF to return him back to Sierra Leone, if not he will commit suicide.
In the twinkle of an eye, Tombo terminated his contract with Swedish side Trellesborg that leaves several Sierra Leoneans speechless.
Week ago, after the latter contract was terminated, Tombo was sent back to Sierra Leone, upon his return, he was received by the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) officials in order to calm him down and discuss about his future.
Tombo was later included in the Sierra Leone squad ahead of Sierra Leone world cup tie with Liberia, he promised to qualify Sierra Leone to the World Cup after his inclusion in the national team, Tombo was featured on both legs as Sierra Leone exit the world cup after losing 3-2 on aggregate.
Weeks later, he was officially signed for East End Lions football club for the sum of 110,000,000 in a three year deal from AIK freetong.
On November 3rd, 2019 Musa Noah Kamara was seen playing for City road Community at the approved school playing ground, after he lied to the technical staff of Leone Stars that he lost his uncle and he could not make the trip to Kono.
This is the same player that promised to qualify Sierra Leone to the world cup, but it’s shocking to see him sneaking the National team just to play inter Community football.
Relatives and friends including officials of East End Lions should urgently counsel Musa Tombo from his abysmal behavior to his professional carrier and focus on the bigger pictures.
His penchant to play amateur football has being part of the DNA of Tombo who believes that playing these community leagues will grease his pocket.
The decision of the Sierra Leone Football Association to strike his name off from the home based team is totally in control and hope that the inconsistent Musa’s will focus on his professional carrier with East End Lions and the National Team.
