The 2018 Presidential candidate for the APC, Dr. Samura Kamara joined the clergy and congregation of the Bethel Temple Ministries International to celebrate their final 50th anniversary on the theme: “Transform from Glory to Glory”. 2nd Corinthian 3:18
Addressing the congregation, Dr. Kamara said he felt delighted and fulfilled to be part of the epoch making occasion . “Making myself available in the presence of God and identifying myself with my people gives me a sense of fulfillment and enhances the virtue of cohesion. I believe religion and the church must take the lead in nation building and in fostering national cohesion,” Dr. Samura told the people.
The experienced statesman reiterated his commitment to national peace and urged Bethel Temple and other churches to pray for Sierra Leone, while also stating that the country has rich potentials to tap into
Dr. Kamara did not hide his joy for being in such a stellar company and for being accorded such an honour. “I feel humbled to consider the fact that, among many Sierra Leoneans, I was identified for a special invitation, and I must confess I feel so gratified fellowshipping with this congregation on this special occasion,” Dr. Kamara averred.
The distinguished invited guest also stated that Sierra Leone needs the prayers of everyone, and urged all to serve God and humanity with pure hearts and minds if only we all want to see this country make progress.
Dr. Kamara informed the congregation that immediately after the service, he will travel to Makeni to bury the remains of the late Hon. Dr. Moses Sesay.
Dr. Samura was accompanied by party stalwarts and friends.
