The Diaspora Focus during its National Development Awards at the Golden Tulip Essential Kimbima Hotel on last Saturday, 7th December 2019 has recognized the exemplary leadership of the General Manager of the Sierra Leone Ports Authority, Dr. Abdulai Fofana for his contributions towards national development.
According to the award citation, the Port is revolutionizing in the areas of corporate image branding, financial prudence and service delivery under the leadership of Dr. Abdulia Fofana.
The award was received on his behalf by SLPA Company Secretary, Martin Maada George Eq. who intimated that under the leadership of Dr. Fofana the port has made remarkable gains in revenue generation and improvement on service delivery.
The award was later submitted to Dr. Fofana at his Cline Town office by SLPA Company Secretary.
Receiving the award, Dr. Fofana thanked SLPA staff for their supports in transforming the port. He expressed that: “The success of SLPA is as a result of team work, coordination, effective and efficient leadership.”
Dr. Fofona furthered that his management would continue to position the Freetown Port a safe haven of doing business, consolidate perfection in the security sector, surge quality, link with external and professional partners in the marine industry and introduce systems that will complement the work of the Authority in a gainful way.
